Los partidos políticos se ven obligados con demasiada frecuencia a centrar su atención en crisis externas inmediatas, en detrimento del desarrollo a medio y largo plazo de sus estrategias y de la organización interna en favor de dichas estrategias.

Esta herramienta ayuda a los partidos políticos a abordar el problema, al destacar la importancia de la planificación estratégica como medio para mejorar su capacidad de aprendizaje organizativo y adaptación a las circunstancias cambiantes.

La presente publicación pretende ser un instrumento práctico que facilite la planificación estratégica de los partidos políticos. Su metodología, basada en la descripción paso a paso del proceso de planificación, debe resultar de utilidad tanto a proveedores de asistencia como a partidos políticos.
