Protecting Elections in Honduras examines how the country navigated the 2025 general elections amid deep political polarization, institutional mistrust and growing concerns over disinformation, political violence and external interference. Using International IDEA’s Protecting Elections framework, the study analyses risk prevention, institutional resilience and post-crisis recovery. It also offers key lessons learned and practical recommendations to enhance electoral integrity and democratic governance in Honduras.
