Inter Pares and the International Parliament Engagement Network (IPEN) invite you to the official launch of the Citizen Engagement Guides for Parliaments - an innovative eight-part resource designed to help parliaments strengthen trust through meaningful citizen engagement.

The 30th UN Climate Change summit (COP30) takes place on 10-21 November 2025 in the city of Belém, Brazil, at the edge of the Amazon rainforest. COP30 marks ten years since the adoption of the Paris Agreement and the focus of the summit is on implementation and how to turn climate pledges into concrete action. International IDEA is on the ground with the message that democracy is an essential part of the response to the climate crisis.

International IDEA will host a mini-workshop entitled “Reimagining Democracy in Asia: Addressing the Threat of Backsliding” on the sidelines of the International Civil Society Week in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop will take place on 3 November 2025.

International IDEA will launch the report Let the Courts Decide? The Potential and Limitations of Climate Litigation from a Democracy Perspective as part of CIVICUS International Society Week 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. The launch will take place on 1st November at 15:30 local time.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and online participation options.

The fifth Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Electoral Actors Executive Workshop is set to take place in Dakar, Senegal, between the 30th of September and the 1st of October, 2025.
