International Workshop on Electoral Efficiency and Sustainability

International IDEA in partnership with the Government of Indonesia c.q. the Ministry of State Secretariat and the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation, will host the International Workshop on Electoral Efficiency and Sustainability. It will take place in Bandung, Indonesia from 21 to 24 October 2025. 

To mark International IDEA’s 30th Anniversary and the 70th Anniversary of the Asia-Africa Conference, this workshop will convene key representatives from Asia and Africa to explore innovative strategies for enhancing the cost-efficiency and effectiveness of elections. It will also serve as a dynamic platform for sharing best electoral practices and cost-efficiency between the two regions. 

The workshop will bring together senior delegates from fifteen Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs), along with Representative Legislators, and both international and Indonesian experts.
