How can we protect democracy and the planet for generations to come?

During London Climate Action Week 2026, International IDEA is hosting a panel discussion on Institutional Innovations for Future Generations, as part of the Climate Governance Forum, organized by International Climate Councils Network and E3G.

The panel discussion will launch an International IDEA new thematic report "Institutional Innovations for Future Generations: The Experience of Climate Change", which explores how democracies can become more climate-responsive and forward-looking, from constitutional safeguard to parliamentary reforms and dedicated institutions for future generations.

The panel discussion takes place 24 June at 11:45-12:30 BST.
