The second International IDEA Member States EMB Dialogue will take place on 30 November in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event will provide space for exchange between International IDEA’s Member States and its Electoral Processes Programme.
During the conference the EMBs will be given a chance to provide feedback on IDEA’s current and future work and it will offer a chance for the EMBs to exchange valuable experiences and learn more about International IDEA’s work on topics such as comparative data in elections, electoral justice, new technologies and media in elections.
During the past two decades, International IDEA has been forging stronger relationships with its Member States, including through collaboration on programmatic issues. The Electoral Processes programme collaborates with Member States’ EMBs in thematic consultations, production of knowledge resources, and organization of joint events. Along these lines, the First Member States EMB Dialogue was organized by International IDEA in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2011.
Following the positive feedback from participants, International IDEA committed to organizing Member State EMB dialogues in the future.
