The partnership between International IDEA and the Electoral Commissions Forum of the Southern African Development Community (ECF-SADC) has spanned over a decade, reflecting a sustained commitment to strengthening electoral management and democratic governance across the SADC region.

This publication examines the factors motivating women’s participation and representation in politics on the continent, providing insights to enhance gender equality and empower women politically.
