Article 12 Composition and Functioning of the CEC (Repealed in the third sentence of points 4 and 5 by Law No. 118/2020, dated 5.10.2020):
1. The Central Election Commission is an activity for the organization and administration of elections, which directs and conducts referendums and electoral administration activities, monitors the activities of electoral subjects, bodies and measures and the media in relation to elections, as well as resolves administratively or complaints related to the electoral process.
2. The governing bodies of the CEC are:
a) the State Election Commissioner;
b) the Commission Regulator; and
c) the Complaints and Sanctions Commission.
