Lumumba Juma

Head of IT and Cybersecurity

Lumumba Juma was appointed IT Manager for International IDEA in May 2015. In this role, Lumumba is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of International IDEA’s worldwide IT operations and cybersecurity. He provides oversight for all information systems and drives optimization and efficiency across the enterprise.

Lumumba brings more than 15 years of ICT experience to this position. Previously, he was responsible for driving IT strategy at The Technical Centre for Rural and Agricultural Cooperation, an EU-ACP organization based in the Netherlands, as well as a similar role at International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), International Livestock Research Insitute (ILRI), International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) and United States International University.

Lumumba holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and an MSc in Cybersecurity from European University Cyprus. He is certified professionally as follows: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) | Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) | Project Management Professional (PMP) | Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) | NCSC(UK) - Certified Cyber Incident Planning & Response (CIPR) | ISO 27001 Lead Auditor | and a member of ISACA.
