Khameyel Fenniche is the Head of Tunisia Progamme, which includes a sub-regional focus on all of the North of Africa and West Asia. Her main responsibilities are management, overseeing projects implementation and fund raising for Tunis Office.
Fenniche has around 20 years of professional experience of which more than10 years in the international development.
During her work with IFRC’s North Africa office, the Tunisian Electoral commission (ISIE), and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), she had a great involvement on Humanitarian and Democracy, Governance and Human Rights (DGRs) fields, specifically in relation to electoral processes and electoral assistance, constitution-building including lawmaking, law enforcement and political participation. She was extensively engaged during the past years in international development projects with complex governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
Fenniche was engaged in developing programmes targeting the defense of marginalized and most vulnerable groups including persons with disabilities, illiterate, citizens of remote and hard-to-access areas. Her media and communication background allowed her to develop creative programmes that facilitate young generations access to their political and civic rights. Along all these different targets, she has also worked on gender-based programming favoring women’s political participation. Creative programming has always been one of her top priorities when designing and implementing projects.
Some of the programmes that she initiated, designed and implemented at the national level, were expanded to a regional level opening room for sharing experience and exporting innovative ideas.
She has also developed high integration skills since she lived in different countries (Malta, Mauritania and Sultanate of Oman) and supported activities in many others (Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and Senegal).
Fenniche received master’s degree in Corporate Governance and International Development, Master in Information and Communication Sciences and Master in Information Technology after a BBA in Marketing.
