Joel Sirma is a Recruitment Specialist in the Human Resources and Organizational Development team, Executive Division, in Stockholm.

Joel joined International IDEA on 19 July 2021. His expert areas range from recruitment and selection process and other wider HR functions including performance management, leave management, onboarding processing and learning management, in addition to programme management support.

Joel holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Nairobi, and a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Management and Certification in Personnel Management.

Prior joining International IDEA, he worked with UN Women Eastern Southern Africa Regional Office based in Nairobi as a Programme Analyst and previously as a Human Resource Associate for 10 years. He has also worked with UNDP, UNFPA and the INGO - Help A Child Africa (HACA).
