Joakim Molander

Head of Budget and Programme Performance

Joakim Molander is the Head of Budget and Programme Performance since July 2018. His work focuses on managing International IDEA’s annual planning process and system for learning-based management and results reporting.

Molander’s previous work experience include serving as the Director for the Evaluation Secretariat (2008-2011) and Head of the Unit for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (2015-2017) at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). In 2005-2008 he served as Program Officer for Democracy and Human Rights at the Embassy of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina and 2011-2015 he served as Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy of Sweden to Rwanda.

In 2007 Molander was appointed as an expert adviser to the chamber for war crimes at the State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been a member of the expert group for Objectives and Results and the Swedish National Bank.

His published works include, Our Results Framework: A system for learning-based management and results reporting, (2018).
