Daniel Francis was the Executive Assistant to the Secretary-General in Stockholm from October 2018 to November 2019. He joined International IDEA in February 2018.

Francis organised the Secretary-General’s agenda, coordinated meetings, workshops and conferences with external partners and organisations, and assisted with internal and external communication and correspondence. He coordinated all travel related to the Secretary-General, providing  administrative support and guidance.

Francis’s previous experience includes working for three years at the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) in Stockholm, as a logistics and technical assistant, where he gained extensive and solid experience in public procurement policies and procedures.

Prior to his time in Sweden, he worked in various roles within the stock and inventory management fields in England and France.
