Budhi Karki is International IDEA Senior Policy and Programme Advisor in Nepal and a constitutional lawyer. 

He worked as a senior lawyer and team leader of the legal team in UNDP's constitution-building support initiative in Nepal from 2008 to 2015.

He also worked as a constitutional law expert in the functional analysis based on Nepal’s Federal Constitution carried out by the Coordination Committee on Federalism Implementation and Administrative Restructuring under the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers of Nepal in 2016.

He has written and edited several publications on issues related to constitution, constitution making and federalism.
