Bridget O'Sullivan

Former Finance and Administrative Manager

Bridget O'Sullivan is the Finance and Administrative Manager at International IDEA in Brussels.

O’ Sullivan’s work focuses on managing the procurement and budgetary function of the Institute's Global Programme and Regional Europe Programme. She is responsible for overseeing compliance with the procurement policy and providing guidance and advice on procurement processes.  Currently, she is continuing to develop the procurement function and ensure it is in line with best practice whilst at the same time facilitating programme operations.  She is one of the senior members of the Finance Team and consistently provides inputs to the ongoing development and special projects being implemented by the team. 

O’ Sullivan previously worked as a Project Finance Officer in International IDEA with a portfolio focusing on the West Asia and North Africa Programme, Constitution-building Programme, Secretary-General's Office, External Relations and Governance Support and Corporate Services.

Earlier in her career, following qualifying as an accountant, she worked in financial and management accounting roles in the private sector. She then spent seven years working with the International Federation of the Red Cross as Regional Finance Manager both in the field (Armenia and Central Asia) and in Geneva. She also worked as Head of Finance and Operations at the National Women’s Council of Ireland and as Finance Manager for an Irish Aid funding agency.
