Anna Novak is the Associate Project Officer at our Ukraine office. She contributes to planning and implementation of International IDEA’s democracy‑support initiatives in Ukraine, focusing on elections, parliamentary strengthening, and political participation. Anna coordinates stakeholder engagement, facilitate key events, and provide support across the project cycle. Anna joined International IDEA in February 2026. 

In her previous roles, Anna used to work at Peace Corps and U.S. Embassy in Kyiv. She spent more than 15 years with USAID as a Program Assistant and Program Manager in democracy and governance programs. Her work included activity planning, monitoring and implementation, and ensuring strong communication with implementing partners and local counterparts. Anna brings extensive experience collaborating with Ukrainian civil society and media organizations. Through this work, she developed a strong understanding of USAID operational procedures, procurement and grant‑management processes, and results‑oriented project management practices.
