(Mandatory Referendum)

Article69.

(3) In so far as it alters Chapter II of thisConstitution, an Act under this section shall not come into operation unlessthe provisions contained in the Act effecting that alteration have, inaccordance with any law in that behalf, been submitted to a referendum in whichall persons who are registered as electors for the purposes of a generalelection shall be entitled to vote and unless those provisions have beensupported by the votes of not less than two-thirds of all the persons entitledto vote in the referendum.
