Section 72:
“(1) A corrupt practiceshall be an offence which shall be punishable on conviction on indictment or onsummary conviction, including conviction under section 75 by an electioncourt.”
Section 75:
“(1) The Director of Public Prosecutions, if itProsecution of offences disclosed appears to him that any person who has notreceived a certificate of indemnity has been guilty of a corrupt or illegalpractice, may prosecute that person for that offence before the election court,or if he thinks it expedient in the interests of justice, before any othercompetent court.”
