Article52. (1) During a criminal investigation the prosecutor:

1) initiates the criminal investigation and orders its performancein line with this Code or refuses to initiate the criminal investigation orterminates it;

2) directly conducts the investigation in line with the law;

3) personallyconducts the criminal investigation and verifies the lawfulness of theprocedures undertaken by the criminal investigative body and decides whether ornot to exclude evidence from the case file in line with the provisions in art.94 para. (1);
