Who carries out investigation for election-related criminal offenses?

Art. 54: Police officers, even on their own initiative, are in charge ofpreventing criminal offenses, collecting reports on crimes, finding theperpetrators and practicing the precautionary measures urgently needed tosecure the evidence.

It is, also, the responsibility of the police to assist the PublicProsecutor in the investigation when requested.
