Who carries out investigation for election-related criminal offenses?

Article31. The Police and Border Guard Board, the Security Police Board, the Taxand Customs Board, the Competition Board, the Military Police, theEnvironmental Inspectorate and the Prisons Department of the Ministry ofJustice and the prison that perform the functions of an investigative bodydirectly or through the institutions administrated by them or through theirregional offices are investigative bodies within the limits of theircompetence.

Article212. (1) Pre-trial proceedings shall beconducted by a Police and Border Guard Board and the Security Police Board,unless otherwise provided for in subsection (2) of this section.

(2) In addition to the investigative bodiesspecified in subsection (1) of this section, pre-trial proceedings areconducted by:

2) the Tax and Customs Board in the case of taxfraud and criminal offences involving violation of customs rules;

3) the Military Police in the case of criminaloffences relating to service in the Defence Forces and war crimes;

5) the Competition Board in the case of criminaloffences relating to competition;

6) the Prisons Department of the Ministry ofJustice and prisons in the case of criminal offences committed in prisons andcriminal offences committed by imprisoned persons;
