Chapter 12 :: Elections of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament

Article100. Consideration by the Constitutional Council of the issue of correctness ofholding elections of deputies of the Mazhilis
1. By the appeal of the Republic President, of the Chairman of the Senate, theChairman of Mazhilis, not less the one fifth part of the total number ofParliament deputies and the Prime-minister of the Republic which can besubmitted within ten days after summing up the results of the elections, the Constitutional Councilsolves the issue of correctness of holding the elections of deputies of theMazhilis in case of a dispute. In this case, the registration of theelected deputies of the Mazhilis is suspended for the period of time forconsideration of the appeal.
