Article 1. 이 법은 헌법 제72조의 규정에 의한 외교?국방?통일 기타 국가안위에 관한 중요정책과 헌법 제130조의 규정에 의한 헌법개정안에 대한 국민투표에 관하여 필요한 사항을 규정함을 목적으로 한다.

Article 6. 국민투표사무는 이 법에 특별한 규정이 있는 경우를 제외하고는 중앙선거관리위원회가 통할?관리하며, 하급선거관리위원회의 위법?부당한 처분에 대하여 이를 취소하거나 변경할 수 있다.
