A general election is an election held to elect all members of the House of Representatives. Single-member constituency elections and proportional representation elections will be held on the same voting day. General elections are divided into two types: those that are held due to the expiration of the term of office of members of the House of Representatives (4 years) and those that are held by the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The number of members of the House of Representatives is 465, of which 289 are members elected by single-member constituencies and 176 are elected by proportional representation.
