2. Is there a ban on donations from foreign interests to candidates?

1. დაუშვებელია შემოწირულების მიღება:
ა) საქართველოს მოქალაქეობის არმქონე ფიზიკური პირისგან;
ბ) საქართველოში ან საქართველოს ფარგლების გარეთ რეგისტრირებული იურიდიული პირისგან ან/და პირთა სხვა სახის გაერთიანებისგან.

1. A donation may not be accepted:
a) from a natural person without citizenship of Georgia;
b) from a legal person and/or another type of association of persons registered in Georgia or outside Georgia, except for free organisation of a lecture, workshop or another similar public event.

The Organic Law of Georgia on Political Associations of Citizens (1997) imposes general rules on political donations, which apply to both political parties and candidates, except for the cases set out directly in this Law.
