24. Is there a ban on political parties taking loans in relation to election campaigns?

Article 13 Law on financing of political parties Official Gazette of RSM no. 76/04, 86/08, 161/08, 96/09, 148/11, 142/12, 23/13, 140/18, 294/20.

There are no specific provisions that provide for a ban on loans. According to the Law on Financing of Political Parties, Article 13 provides for Private sources of financing of political parties, as follows: Private sources of financing of political parties are: - membership fees, - loans, - donations, gifts, contributions, grants, sponsorships (hereinafter: donations), - legacies, - sale of promotional and propaganda material and - own income in accordance with this Law.
