Стаття 12, Закон "Про політичні партії в Україні" (2001):
Політичні партії мають право:
3) використовувати державні медіа, а також засновувати власні медіа, як передбачено відповідними законами України;
Політичним партіям гарантується свобода опозиційної діяльності, у тому числі:
брати участь в обговоренні та оприлюднювати і обгрунтовувати критичну оцінку дій і рішень органів влади, використовуючи для цього державні і недержавні медіа в порядку, встановленому законом.

The political parties shall have the right:
3) to use public media, as well as to establish their own media as provided for by the respective laws of Ukraine.
The political parties shall be guaranteed the freedom of opposition activities including:
the right to participate in the discussions, make public and substantiate their critical assessments of the decisions and actions of the public authorities by using public and private media in accordance with the procedures specified in the law.

Ukrainian legislation does not grant political parties free or subsidized access to the media. However, political parties have the right to use state and non-state media outlets, as well as establish their own.
