Стаття 152, Виборчий кодекс України (2020): 
Виборчий фонд кандидата формується за рахунок власних коштів кандидата, власних коштів партії, до виборчого списку якої він включений, та добровільних внесків осіб, які відповідно до Закону України "Про політичні партії в Україні" мають право здійснювати внески на підтримку партій.

Стаття 96, Виборчий кодекс України (2020): 
Виборчий фонд кандидата на пост Президента України формується за рахунок його власних коштів, коштів партії, яка висунула кандидата, а також добровільних внесків осіб, які відповідно до Закону України "Про політичні партії в Україні" мають право здійснювати внески на підтримку партій.

Стаття 15, Закон "Про політичні партії в Україні" (2001): 
Не допускається здійснення внесків на підтримку політичних партій:
6) незареєстрованими громадськими об’єднаннями, благодійними чи релігійними організаціями, а також іншими політичними партіями.

Article 152, Electoral Code of Ukraine (2020): 
The candidate's election fund shall be formed at the expense of the candidate's own funds, the contributions of the party, to which he/she is included in the electoral list, and the voluntary contributions of persons who have the right to make contributions for support of parties according to the Law of Ukraine “On Political Parties in Ukraine”.

Article 96, Electoral Code of Ukraine (2020): 
The election fund of a candidate for the President of Ukraine shall be formed by his/her own resources, resources of the party that nominated the candidate, as well as voluntary contributions of individuals and entities who, according to the Law of Ukraine “On Political Parties in Ukraine” have the right to make contributions in support of political parties.

Ukrainian law does not ban donations from Trade Unions to candidates. The Electoral Code of Ukraine states that voluntary donations to candidates' electoral funds are covered by the law "On Political Parties in Ukraine." According to this law, only unregistered public associations are prohibited from contributing to political parties. However, the law defines a trade union as a public organization, which is a type of public association (Article 1, Law "On Trade Unions, their rights and guarantees of activity" (1999), Article 1, Law "On Public Associations" (2013). Therefore, there is no direct prohibition. At the same time, donations from legal entities, their branches, and their representative offices are prohibited in local elections. Trade unions are considered legal entities (Article 16, Law "On Trade Unions, their rights and guarantees of activity" (1999). Therefore, trade unions cannot make donations in local elections.

In national (parliamentary and presidential) elections, restrictions are applied under the Law “On Political Parties in Ukraine,” which also applies during the inter-election period. In particular, Article 15 of the Law “On Political Parties in Ukraine” refers to: Part 1, 3 of Article 96 of the Electoral Code of Ukraine (restrictions on entities in presidential elections), Part 2 of Article 96 of the Electoral Code of Ukraine (restrictions on the size of contributions in presidential elections); Parts 1 and 3 of Article 152 of the Electoral Code of Ukraine (restrictions on entities in parliamentary elections), Part 2 of Article 152 of the Electoral Code of Ukraine (restrictions on the size of contributions in parliamentary elections)
