5. Is there a ban on donations from Trade Unions to political parties?

§ 25 (2) Nr. 4 PartG

Von der Befugnis der Parteien, Spenden anzunehmen, ausgeschlossen sind: Spenden von Berufsverbänden, die diesen mit der Maßgabe zugewandt wurden, sie an eine politische Partei weiterzuleiten, sind unzulässig.

Section 25 (2) No. 4 Political Parties Act

The following shall be excluded from the right of political parties to accept donations: Donations from professional organizations, which were made to the latter subject to the proviso that such funds be passed on to a political party, are prohibited.
