3. Is there a ban on corporate donations to political parties?

ALB: Burimet e financimit të fushatës për subjektet zgjedhore janë:
a) fondet e dhëna paradhënie nga Buxheti i Shtetit për partitë politike të regjistruara si subjekte zgjedhore;
b) të ardhurat e vetë subjektit zgjedhor të krijuara sipas ligjit;
c) dhuratat për subjektin zgjedhor dhe kandidatët e tij, në vlerë monetare, natyrë ose shërbime të dhëna, sipas nenit 92/1 të këtij ligji;
ç) huatë ose kreditë e marra nga partitë politike ose kandidatët e tyre sipas ligjit. Në asnjë rast vlera e një huaje ose kredie nuk duhet të kalojë shumën e fondeve, sipas pikës 2 të nenit 92/1 të këtij ligji.

ENG: Sources of campaign funding for electoral subjects shall include:
a) advance funds from the State Budget for political parties registered as electoral subjects;
b) income generated by the electoral subject itself, in accordance with the law;
c) gifts to the electoral subject and its candidates, in monetary value, in kind, or services provided, in accordance with Article 92/1 of this law;
ç) borrowing or loans taken by political parties or their candidates, in accordance with the law. The value of a borrowing or a loan must not exceed the amount of funds determined in accordance with point 2 of Article 92/1 of this law.

Neither the Electoral Code, nor the Law on Political Parties bans corporations from donating to political parties.
