2. Is there a ban on donations from foreign interests to candidates?

ALB: 1. Subjektet zgjedhore dhe kandidatët e tyre mund të marrin fonde për qëllime të fushatës së tyre zgjedhore vetëm nga persona fizikë ose juridikë vendas. Për qëllim të këtij ligji, konsiderohet person fizik vendas edhe shtetasi shqiptar me banim jashtë territorit të Republikës së Shqipërisë.

ENG: 1. Electoral subjects and their candidates may receive funds for the purposes of their electoral campaigns only from domestic natural or legal persons. For the purposes of this law, an Albanian citizen who resides outside the territory of the Republic of Albania shall also be considered a domestic natural person.

The Electoral Code allows donations to candidates' to fund their electoral campaigns only from domestic natural or legal persons. This includes Albanian citizens living abroad.
