28. Are there provisions for direct public funding to political parties?

第三条　国は、この法律の定めるところにより、政党交付金の交付を受ける政党等に対する法人格の付与に関する法律第四条第一項の規定による法人である政党に対して、政党交付金を交付する。
２　政党交付金は、議員数割及び得票数割とする。

Article 3. The State shall grant political party subsidies to political parties that are corporations as defined in Article 4, paragraph 1 of the Act on Granting Corporate Status to Political Parties, etc. that receive such subsidies, in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
2. Political party subsidies shall be allocated based on the number of elected members and the number of votes received.

Political parties receive subsidies from the government.
