Artículo 111. Son obligaciones de los partidos políticos:

8. Llevar un juego completo de libros de contabilidad, debidamente registrados en el Tribunal Electoral, y conservar todos los comprobantes que respalden los ingresos recibidos del financiamiento público y los gastos ejecutados contra dicho financiamiento. El Tribunal Electoral pondrá a disposición de la ciudadanía en general el libre acceso a toda esta información por cualquier método disponible, de conformidad con lo establecido en la Ley 6 de 2002.

Artículo 219. Los partidos políticos y funcionarios electos por libre postulación que hayan recibido más de cinco mil balboas (B/. 5,000.00), deberán sustentar, trimestralmente, ante la Dirección de Fiscalización del Financiamiento Político, la totalidad de los gastos incurridos. En caso de no hacerlo, se suspenderán los desembolsos subsiguientes.

Article 219. Political parties and officials elected by independent nomination who have received more than five thousand balboas (B/. 5,000.00), must justify, on a quarterly basis, before the Directorate of Political Financing Oversight, all expenses incurred. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of subsequent disbursements.

Political parties have a general obligation to maintain a complete set of accounting books registered with the Electoral Tribunal. For the post-electoral public funding they receive, parties must report on their expenses quarterly. Failure to submit these regular reports results in the suspension of subsequent funds.
