In Mozambique, only 40% of the population has access to electricity (International Energy Agency) and the county is a very low emitter. However, Mozambique is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change (such as flooding and natural disasters), which exacerbate existing poverty, inequalities and conflicts. Mainstreaming adaptation measures in policy-making is therefore a national priority.
