40. If there are limits on the amount a political party can spend, what is the limit?

[§ 4.
(1)Jede politische Partei darf für die Wahlwerbung zwischen dem Stichtag der Wahl zum Nationalrat oder zum Europäischen Parlament und dem Wahltag maximal 7 Millionen Euro (Anm 1) aufwenden. Wird derselbe Wahlvorschlag von zwei oder mehreren politischen Parteien unterstützt, so gilt die Höchstsumme für die zusammengerechneten Aufwendungen dieser Parteien. In die Höchstsumme sind auch die Aufwendungen im Sinne des § 2 Z 4 von nahestehenden Organisationen, Personenkomitees sowie einzelner Wahlwerber, die auf einem von der politischen Partei eingebrachten Wahlvorschlag kandidiert haben, einzurechnen, wobei Aufwendungen eines Wahlwerbers für auf seine Person abgestimmte Wahlwerbung bis zu einem Betrag von 15 000 Euro (Anm 1) außer Betracht zu bleiben haben.]

"Election advertising expenses and election advertising report
§ 4. (1)Each political party may spend a maximum of 7 million euros on election advertising between the deadline for the election to the National Council or the European Parliament and election day. If the same election proposal is supported by two or more political parties, the maximum amount for the combined expenses of these parties applies. The maximum amount also includes the expenses within the meaning of § 2 Z 4 of related organizations, personal committees and individual candidates who ran on an election proposal submitted by the political party, whereby expenses of a candidate for election advertising tailored to their person are up to one Amount of 15,000 euros have to be disregarded."
