(2) A political party may, for the purposes of financing its activities, appeal for, and receive donations from, any individual or organization, within or outside Malawi:
Provided that the source of every donation, whether in cash or in kind and whether once off or cumulatively, with a monetary value of at least K. 1,000.000 from an individual donor and of at least
K2,C00,000 from an organization shall, within ninety days of its receipt, be declared to the Registrar by the political party concerned; 
(5) A secretary general of a political party shall be personally responsible for declaring to the Registrar the source of any donation that requires disclosure under subsection (2).

Comment

For donations above MK1,000,000 (approx. $1000) from individuals and above Mk2,000,000 (approx. $2000) have to be declared to the registrar of political parties within 90 days after they are given to a party.
