Sevval is an intern with the Democracy and Inclusion (DI) Programme. She is currently doing her internship at International IDEA as a part of her master’s program in Political Science at Stockholm University. Sevval has an academic background in Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul University, focusing on political history and minority rights.

Her responsibilities are to conduct research on gender quotas and compile country briefs for updating the country pages of the Gender Quotas Database. Additionally, she supports the activities conducted under Democracy and Inclusion, such as writing reports and assisting with communicating answers to database users on their queries.

She is highly interested in marginalized segments’ political and economic participation, their representation in elections and in other aspects of life.
