Article 28. (1) The general electoral register for the Syrian Arab Republic is prepared by the Ministry of the Interior in coordination with the Ministries of Justice, Local Administration and the Central Bureau of Statistics.

(2) The general electoral register shall include the following data for each voter:

- Full name

- Parent’s name

- Gender

- Place and date of birth

- Permanent residence

- ID number

- Number and place of civil registration

(3) The general electoral register shall be reviewed once at the beginning of each year for addition, deletion or amendment, and shall be reviewed at least two months before the date of any election.
