36. Is the provision of direct public funding to political parties tied to gender equality among candidates?

Article 30, Organic Law of Georgia on Political Unions of Citizens, 1997.

According to the Georgian legislation, a political party receiving state funding shall receive a bonus of 30% of the basic funding if, in the electoral list presented by this political party or by the relevant electoral bloc (in the case of local self-government elections, in all party lists) at least 30% of female candidates are included in the first, second and every subsequent ten candidates.
