2019 No external voting No external voting 1980 Public Law 2016-28 cancelled postal voting system that had been in place for four decades. The Law was declared unconstitutional by Supreme Court in October but not in time for the voting system to be restored for the November 2019 Elections. In the future elections, the postal voting will possibly be restored. Data has been updated in January 2020.

Postal Postal voting provision for external residents dates to the original Act, so postal voting available at least since 1980. Data has not changed since the initial research conducted by International IDEA in 2007 (as of March 2018).
