In Qatariconstitution (adopted in 2003), the consultative council’s members would beelected and 15 appointed. The election wasscheduled to be in 2007. However, the election was postponed to 2010 and againto 2013. Data is not available without the election law and other executiveorders.
There isonly one election law in Qatar (Central Municipal Council election law). TheQatari Shura council debated the election law for Shura council but did notofficially pass it. This is based on several research through governmentwebsites and mainly:
