Bhutan Election Act

221. The candidate concernedshall, in the case wherein an objection is raised by the Returning Officer orby any other person in relation to the nomination of a candidate,

be allowed time to rebut itnot later than 12 p.m. on that fixed date for the withdrawal of candidature.

222. The Returning Officershall endorse on each nomination paper his/her decision accepting or rejectingthe same in writing stating his/her reasons for such acceptance or rejection.

223. The Returning Officershall, after all nomination papers have been scrutinized and the decisioneither to accept orreject have been recorded, prepare in a prescribed form, alist of validly nominated candidates and affix it to his/her notice board.

Provided that the preparationof such list shall not be deferred on the ground that the scrutiny proceedingin relation to the nomination of any candidate has been

adjourned under the section 220.
