Election Results

The Election Commission shall certify the results of each election and declare the winning candidates for President, Vice President, the Senate and the House of Delegates within 15 days from the date of the election. A candidate shall receive a plurality of the votes cast in the general elections to be elected President or Vice President or to the Senate or to the House of Delegates.
 

Palau Constitution (1979)

Section 3

The House of Delegates shall be composed of one delegate to be popularly elected from each of the states of Palau. The Senate shall be composed of the number of senators prescribed from time to time by the reapportionment commission as provided by law.

Comment

Palau has a plurality system in single member constituencies. For the House of Delegates, each of Palau’s 16 states, which vary in size from 80-10,000 people, has one representative popular elected via a plurality rule in single member constituencies.
