National Electoral CommissionAct (2002)

6. (1)Without prejudice to section 4, the Electoral Commission may—

a. register outsidethe country any Sierra Leonean citizen registered by the approved authority asa refugee either in the Republic of Guinea, Liberia or any other lawfullyestablished Refugee Camp during the period of the rebel war commencing 1991 andending 2002 who—

i. is qualified to beregistered as an elector under section 31 of the Constitution;

ii. presents himselfto the Registration Officer or field registrar;

iii. possesses theappropriate identification document issued by the approved authority; or

iv. is on theregister or official list of the approved authority;

b. make provision for the registrationoutside the country of any non-resident citizens of Sierra Leone who may wishto be registered as electors

(3)In this section, 'approved authority' means the United Nations HighCommissioner for Refugees
