Final Report: EUElection Observation Mission, National Assembly Election 2008 (Page 15): 'Certain groups (civil servants, diplomats, military personnel, electionofficials and students) were eligible to vote by postal ballot. The eligiblepostal voters list included 36,313 voters.
The ECB extended thedeadline for postal ballot registration from 7 February to 25 February 2008 andfor receipt of postal ballots from 18 February to 1 March 2008 due to increasedvoter interest, particularly among students and teachers who had just returnedfor the new school term.'
