Who carries out investigation for election-related criminal offenses?

Art. 14 (1): The police is responsible,according to the distinctions made in this title, to search and proveviolations of the criminal law, to collect evidence and track the offendeers,as long as this information is not known.

Since there is no specific legal provisionin the electoral code or the penal code, investigations for election-relatedcriminal offences are carried out by the police and election-related criminaloffences are prosecuted by the public prosecutor, like any other criminaloffence.
