Article84. 1. The prosecutor in the criminal proceedingsshall rely on the results of the investigation of all the circumstances of thecase and shall be guided only by the requirements of the law and hisconscience.

84.2. The prosecutor shall fulfil thefollowing duties in accordance with this Code:

84.2.1.to examine applications and other documents on offences which have beencommitted or are planned, to begin the criminal case if there are sufficientreasons and grounds for doing so and, if so, exercising the powers of the investigator, to conduct theinvestigation or delegate it to the preliminary investigator or theinvestigator;
