Art. 31 : The Constitutional Court ensures the properconduct of elections and referenda at both Islandsand Union level and it shall rule on electoraldisputes.

Organic Law of 3 October 2005 on the other responsibilities of theConstitutional Court / Loi organique du 3 octobre 2005 relative aux autresattributions de la cour constitutionnelle

Art. 4: The Court shall ensurethe legality of the election of thePresident of the Union,examine complaints, rule onirregularities that could itself find, proclaim andannounce the results of the presidential electionswhich shall be published by anyappropriate means within twenty fourhours of the proclamation.
