CHAPTER 20ELECTION DISPUTES AND ELECTION PETITIONS
Trial of Election Petitions
481. The Court trying anelection petition shall dismiss an election petition which does not comply withthe provisions of section 469, 470, 476, 477 or 479.
482. A judge shall, where morethan one election petition is presented to the concerned Court in respect ofthe same election, try all such election petitions together in the mannerhe/she deems appropriate.
483. The trial of an electionpetition shall, as far as practicable and consistent with the interests ofjustice be conducted as expeditiously as possible and endeavour shall be madeto conclude the trial within one month from the date on which the electionpetition is presented to the Court concerned.
484. Every election petitionshall, subject to the provisions of this Act and of any Rules and Orders madethereunder, be tried as nearly as may be, in accordance with the procedureapplicable under the Civil and Criminal Procedure Code of Bhutan for the trialof civil suits.
