The decision to organise a consultative referendum is made by an Act,which shall contain provisions on the time of the referendum and on the choicesto be presented to the voters.
Provisions concerning the conduct of a referendum arelaid down by an Act. (...)
Theconstitution only specifies that each optional referendum must be provided forby an Act. Parliament can choose to hold a referendum on any issue of itschoosing.
